What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit our website. They enable essential functionality such as keeping items in your shopping cart across pages.
Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies (Strictly Necessary)
These cookies are required for core website functionality. They cannot be disabled without breaking the website.
- cart: Stores your shopping cart contents. HTTP-only cookie. Expires after 7 days.
- checkout_address: Stores your billing address during checkout so you do not have to enter it again on a second attempt. HTTP-only cookie. Expires after 7 days.
- NEXT_LOCALE: Stores your selected language (de/en). Session cookie.
- userCurrency: Stores your preferred currency (CHF/EUR). Expires after 1 year.
Statistics (only with your consent)
If you agree, we load two services from our hosting company Vercel: a visitor counter (Vercel Analytics) and a page speed measurement (Vercel Speed Insights). Neither sets cookies nor stores anything on your device. The counter reports which pages were opened, from what kind of device and from which country; the speed measurement reports how quickly the page built up for you – so we notice when it gets slow. If you decline, neither script is loaded in the first place.
Third-Party Cookies
Stripe: Our payment provider sets cookies during checkout for fraud prevention and payment processing; if you use Stripe Link, also to recognise you. These are technically necessary to complete your purchase. See Stripe’s cookie policy: https://stripe.com/cookie-settings
We do not set advertising cookies and we pass no data to advertising networks. We do not use Google Analytics.
Anonymous visitor counting
Regardless of your cookie choice, we count on our own server which pages are opened. Nothing is stored on your device and no IP address is kept. Instead we form a checksum from the IP address, the browser identifier and a random value that changes daily. Within one day this shows that two requests came from the same person – the next day that link is irretrievably lost, because the random value has changed. At no point can this be traced back to you. What is stored: the path opened, the time, that checksum, the type of device, the country and the referring host name (such as "google.com", never the full address with search terms). Entries are deleted after 400 days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in shaping the offering to demand (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If your browser sends the "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal, we do not count you.
Managing Cookies
You can change your statistics choice on this page at any time – the selection bar will reappear. The technically necessary cookies cannot be switched off; without them you cannot add anything to the cart or place an order. You can also delete or block all cookies through your browser settings.
To manage cookies in your browser, consult your browser's help documentation or visit www.allaboutcookies.org for general guidance.
